Hurricane Preparedness - Do you know your Street Captain?
Sunday, May 14th to Thursday, November 30th
Do you know who your street captain is in the event of a hurricane emergency?  If you are a new resident or haven’t spoken to your street captain about how to reach you in the event of your evacuation, we want to help by knowing your plans to go, or to stay, if you have pets and how to reach you if you have evacuated.

It’s a strictly voluntary program, but if we do experience a hurricane, it’s a good idea of having a point of contact so we can reach you.  To find out who your street captain is, go to the Hurricane Prep tab on the RiverSea website.  This tab also includes information of how to prepare for a hurricane.

RiverSea Community Yard Sale - June 16th/17th
Thursday, May 25th to Saturday, June 17th
As discussed and approved during the April 27th Community Board meeting, RiverSea will host a Community Yard Sale on Friday, June 16th and Saturday, June 17th (originally scheduled for May 26th and Saturday, May 27th), 8 AM to 1 PM on each day.

The Yard Sale Committee will advertise one posting on Nextdoor, Facebook groups, yardsales.net, etc. for the entire neighborhood.

Yard Sale Rules:
  • Parking for these sales will be street parking. Please be mindful that participants do not block driveways/traffic, or park on the grass of a neighbor's yard. This will be communicated in the ads for the event as well.
  • For any houses that will be participating, please provide your address by email to Morgan RobinsonYour address will be included on the neighborhood map of houses participating in the advertising posts.
  • Participants are required to clean up individual trash and sale items from outdoors by June 18th. No dumping in the construction dumpsters. If this year goes well then maybe next year we will coordinate with a non-profit for future donations.
